OK, the Christmas tree skirt is finished, and I thought that some of you might like to see it. I am happy with the way it turned out. Now I just hope that my daughter likes it. I will give it to her on Thursday.
Today, I went Christmas shopping with my daughter-in-law’s mother. I can’t believe that it is time to get ready for Christmas already! I am finished buying for my daughter-in-law and have a couple of things for each of my grandchildren. I know what I want to get my husband and my daughter. Now, if I could just get my son-in-law to give me some suggestions, I would be all set!

Holy cow! That is a beautiful tree skirt!
WOW! That’s absolutely gorgeous!! I would love to have one like that but I don’t have a creative bone in my body!
Thanks, I was trying to make it as ugly as possible. Color coordinating never was a strong suit for me nor interior decorating; I’ve always been a function over form type of guy, haha.

That is so beautiful, Nancy! Thanks for sharing it! (((Hugs))
Wow Nance – what work went into that, I can surely appreciate. My neighbor, bless her heart, spends hours and hours, hand-stitching these Christmas decorations for her home. You’ve done a very, very beautiful job. Do you sell them? Talk to you soon.

It’s free and is a bit Christmasy…..Could have used your help, though! Maybe I can use this picture in my magazine, of course with your name!! Let me know. Go into past issues and see what ya think! Bye for now. L.

If she doesn’t like it my tree will.
ryc: the bloating is a feeling. Don’t think the body is but who can tell with a fat belly? lol
Thats gorgeous ,Nance. Looks like something you would find in a high end department store. A good job.
Would love to sew like that!
Thanks for you comments, Nance.
Peace and Love:)
^It’s beautiful!
I responded to your question on ‘art’ on my site
Have a great day!
That skirt is beautiful! Great job! I’ll start my Christmas shopping probably on Dec. 21.
RYC: Yes, those are my kids in the banner on my site. My daughter made it, and chose the pictures to add to it herself. I chose the quote.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m looking forward to learning more about everyone on the Island myself!
That tree skirt is just what I am looking for. My living room is dark wood, Deep burgundy and Merlot colors in drapes, furniture. My tree is elegant, and have been looking for a rich-looking tree skirt for under it. You are a very talented seamstress!!
Gorgeous!
Beautiful! Your daughter will love it, I’m sure! Christmas is coming awful fast, isn’t it? I love Christmas, even with the stress it’s my favorite time of year. It would be nice if we had snow for Christmas this year, don’t you think?
RYC: I still love the long nights, though by January, I’m ready for more light. That’s one of the many things I love about Minnesota, just when you get tired of a season, another one comes to take it’s place!
Take care and have a great day!
This tree skirt looks like an antique. Someday it will be to your grandchildren!!
It is lovely!!
That looks pretty shiney!
BE blessed!
Steve
I’m not ready for Christmas – not until Thanksgiving is finished.
RYC: Actually, the cherry spoon is outside the Walker Art Center. Yes, it’s art because it’s a sculpture. Thanks for visiting.
Thanks for your comment on my blog.
I tried to answer your questions over there

I’m just trying to say hello to a fellow Internet Islander – I would like to chat longer, but I want to at least touch base with everyone on the blogring. Looking forward to your comments! – John
Wow. That’s SOOOO pretty.
Thanks for stopping by my site and saying hello.
it’s adorable.
ryc: integrity doesn’t always have to be refusing to fit into society. sometimes, our surroundings already offer conditions that fit into our principles, and all we have to do is move around it. integrity is being tested only in circumstances that warrant it.
What a gorgeous tree skirt!
RYC: We are in the same situation with our schools here in Michigan. We pay quite extensive property taxes to the state, which then re-distributes the taxes back to the communities, with the urban areas capturing a good portion of our monies. So as a relatively “wealthy” district, our schools are underfunded and overcrowded, and we keep being hit up for any renovations or additions as additional millage proposals, because this is the only way to “keep” the money in-house. Our afterschool programs are cut, our buses are eliminated for the high schoolers (this year they combined grades 6-12 on busses, which is a very dangerous situation), our enrichment subjects are in jeopardy. I know that the inner cities have funding issues due to lack of tax bases, but I have a hard time agreeing to any additional taxes knowing that the money often doesn’t go where it belongs.
That is amazingly beautiful. I am sure your daughter will just love it!
