Not sure if he will be the next star, but very cool! Haven’t heard from you in so long, but is this not the child once referred to in your blog as a giant baby or something like that? Forgive me if I have it wrong! Guess he grew up, just like mine! They are now 18, 15 and 13….the oldest is off to college in September! Hope you are well…Neil and I are fine, both working and both in good health. Kids, too! Karen
@Karenina - Yes, that’s Jake the Giant Baby who is now 9 years old and not a giant anymore. Good to hear from you!
Dear Nancy,
At one time I “created” an album cover for some relatives of a favortie Xangan. I believe perhaps your niece’s band? (getting older….memory not as fine as it was….once…..)
I just saw your username over on the Socrates Cafe site so thought I’d drop in and say “hi”. I’ll have to “sample” Jake’s rap tonight when I get home from work, and make an assessment at that time.
In the meantime, nice to see some of my old aquanitances like you are still blogging away on Xanga!

It wasn’t my niece’s band. I don’t have any nieces and nobody in my family has a band. I do know Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, but I have a feeling that it’s not his album cover!
@Nance1 - As I suspected. Memory loss. I guess it was to be expected. At work, I went from being the “of course….that was the….and then they….remember?” guy to the “no….don’t bother me….I don’t remember anything anymore….gotta get back to my hole….” guy.
Oh well.
I know (actual name removed at the behest of the plaintiff’s legal counsel barring future allegations of any kind.) niece. She tried to sell me a cellphone so she could get some speed. Herman’s Hermits were good.

@baldmike2004 - Herman’s Hermits aren’t a “were”. My family and I went to see them Sunday evening. Great show! I highly recommend going if you get a chance.
Good start for your grandson , Nancy .
I notice you have re -started the blogging at the time I take a rest ; i AM SORRY .. But I will re -start soon. Love
